Warranty Details
Our 5-Year Workmanship Warranty
BQ Painting provides a written limited workmanship warranty for qualifying painting services. Coverage is intended to provide added confidence after a project reaches substantial completion.
What the Warranty Is Designed to Cover
Qualifying deficiencies resulting from improper workmanship or defective materials supplied by BQ Painting may be reviewed and, when covered, corrected in the affected portions of the work. The signed agreement and project-specific written terms control coverage.
Common Exclusions
- Water damage, excessive moisture, leaks, mold or mildew
- Vandalism, abuse, accidents, storms, earthquakes or fire
- Structural shifting, settling or substrate failure
- Failure of previous coatings or incompatible substrates
- Rust, rot or other deteriorated materials
- Improper cleaning or maintenance after completion
- Natural wear and tear, fading or improper maintenance
- Client or third-party modifications, repairs or alterations
Separate One-Year Limited Warranty
Horizontal surfaces, decks, railings, handrails, steps, fences, metal surfaces, and varnished or stained doors may be subject to a separate one-year limited warranty under the written project terms.
How to Keep Coverage in Effect
- Notify BQ Painting in writing within 10 days of first discovery of a possible deficiency.
- Coverage applies to the original client and is not transferable unless the written agreement states otherwise.
- Unauthorized third-party work or changes may void coverage for affected areas.
Requesting a Warranty Review
Contact BQ Painting with your name, project address, completion date and clear photos of the area you would like reviewed. The signed agreement is the controlling document if any summary on this website differs from the written project warranty.
